New ‘Entrepreneur Visa’ for PhD and Masters graduates
The Minister for Immigration, Peter Dutton, announced this week that a new Entrepreneur Visa would be introduced in the second half of 2016 as part of the Government’s National Innovation and Science Agenda. Minister Dutton said the new visa would be part of a pathway to permanent residence for recent graduates from Australian institutions with specialized Doctorate and Masters by research qualifications, and would assist graduates in STEM subjects (science, technology, engineering and mathematics), or some ICT and related areas.
